Define objectives
1.Start by defining the objectives of the quarter
2.Trim the list of objectives to 3-6 high level strategic items that constitute significant progress
3.The objectives should be, to the extent possible, measurable
Define Key Results
1.Define how you will know that the objective is completed?
2.Then, work backwords and turn this into 3-6 key results
3.Again, key results should be, to the extent possible, measurable
Divide and conquer
1.Assign one single owner of each key result who assumes the full responsibility
2.You may assign one supporting person per key result, but never two responsibles
3.Define how you will measure this (binary, number, or percentage)
4.Set a deadline
